Happy Halloween

One of my favorite things about Halloween is watching my boys carve their pumpkins. They can't handle gutting the pumpkin, it's too slimy for them. I never knew how strong their gag reflex was. They will try anything to avoid cleaning out the slime and seeds.  There is a lot of dry heaving during this process. The pictures they carve go along with their costumes. We go online and they find their favorite picture and then they begin their master piece.  Parker carved the British flag (he was James Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean), Kolton carved the skull and cross swords (he was Jack Sparrow), Camden carved a pirate ship (he was Will Turner), and Asher carved a pirate face (he was a pirate).

Every year the boys' school has a Halloween Parade.

I'm Parker's class room mom. For part of the party they had to eat a doughnut off a string without using their hands, Parker came in first! Asher of course had to do it when he saw everyone else.

Trunk or Treating. I think Camden came home with twice as much candy as everyone else.

Erik and I (The Cowboy and his Saloon Girl!) I love you Babe!

Sports Center

For the months of August, September, and October this is how we spend much of our time, watching and cheering on our boys, and we love every minute of it!!!
Camden was the Blue Strikers.  His favorite position was defense.  He love the social aspect of soccer. He hasn't found an aggressive bone in his body yet. It was so fun to watch him improve over the season and learn how to go for the ball instead of just waiting for it.

Kolton was the Vikings. He played up an age group this year, and did amazing. His likes to play outside on offense or defense. He seems most comfortable as a wing. He even got to play goalie his last game. He wasn't really excited about it, but we were proud that he did it. And he made some great saves.

Parker was the Ninjas. His favorite position is goalie. He broke his arm the week before school started and was only able to play goalie his last game. He's a natural at it and can anticipate where the ball is going to go.

Parker's flag football team was the Cougars.  He played a lot of defensive end (which is his favorite position) and center. He likes to be able to make plays in the other teams backfield. He also got 3rd place in the Kick competition for his age group. This is his favorite sport and he can't wait until next year when he can play in pads.

Kolton's flag football team was the Reds. He loves to run the ball and cut-back. He played a lot of everything on offense, and defense he played safety. He scored a couple touchdowns. He had a lot of friends on his team and loved it. It was fun to watch his growth from last year, he was much more aware of the game.
